Questions about the AiroDoctor hardware and it's capabilities

Currently there is the mobile AiroDoctor WAD-M20 and the portable AiroDoctor Mini (WAD-S10). Both models work with HEPA filters and the patented and certified UV-A LED photocatalysis. Thanks to this technology, filtered pathogens and pollutants are sustainably decomposed and rendered harmless. No harmful by-products are produced in the process. The larger model is designed for cleaning rooms up to 200sqm, the Mini cleans the air in its immediate environment, is very light at 425g, runs on battery power and can be charged via USB-C or can be operated permanently, too. The AiroDoctor Mini operates with a HEPA filter and the patented and certified UV-A LED photocatalysis which decomposes and neutralizes 99.9% of all pathogens and pollutants sustainably and safely. Based on the particle measurement, the ventilation level regulates itself upwards, provided that the automatic mode is active. An indicator light shows the progress of the cleaning process. The AiroDoctor Mini runs on battery power and can be charged via USB-C or operated permanently. The AiroDoctor Mini can be run in automatic mode as well as manually. Thanks to the practical one-hand operation, it can be adjusted quickly and easily. It stands securely on any table and fits perfectly in the cup holder of a car. In continuous operation, the AiroDoctor consumes max. 85 watts.

No, you do not have to. The AiroDoctor automatically goes into sleep mode in a dark environment, where it continues to operate at the lowest level and deactivates the illuminated LED ring.

The AiroDoctor is produced in South Korea. Here, the device was already used in Corona emergency centers at the beginning of the pandemic and recommended by the authorities for use in public buildings. In South Korea, the AiroDoctor has received scientific support from the renowned Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) since the beginning of its development. In January 2021, it joined the ranks of KICT's official partner companies and can draw on its technological and scientific resources. The European headquarters and central warehouse are located in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany and are represented by ScreenSource GmbH as co-developer of the AiroDoctor.

When switched on, the AiroDoctor independently detects when it needs to go into active operation. It also indicates when the air has been sufficiently cleaned. A light diode continuously measures the particle load of particles down to a size of PM2,5 (2.5 micrometer). The device responds to this light diode measurement with a delay of 2 to 3 seconds and automatically adjusts the speed of air purification. The AiroDoctor indicates the progress of air purification via the light indicator. The different colors indicate the air quality:

• 0-79: very good or good

(There is little or no health risk).

• 80-119: moderate

(Air quality is acceptable, there is a health risk only for a few very sensitive people).

• 120-159: poor

(There is a health risk for all persons sensitive to air pollution).

• 160-500: very poor

(Air quality is potentially hazardous to the health of all persons).

Yes. When the AiroDoctor is switched on, it can use the automatic mode to detect when it needs to go into active operation or when the air has been sufficiently cleaned. A light diode continuously measures the particle load of particles down to a size of PM2,5 (2.5 micrometer). The device reacts to this light diode measurement with a delay of 2 to 3 seconds and automatically adjusts the speed of air cleaning. The AiroDoctor signals the progress of air purification via the light indicator. The different colors indicate the air quality:

Yes, a remote control is included in the scope of delivery as standard. The controls on the device and on the remote control are identical.

Do not lift or move the AiroDoctor while it is in operation. Make sure that the power cord, socket, as well as casing parts are not damaged. Do not insert anything into the ventilation openings and do not use any chemical substances (such as insecticides or room sprays) in the rooms to be cleaned.

Child lock and automatic shut-off provide additional safety during operation. The child lock protects against accidental key entry, the automatic switch-off activates if the device is moved improperly.

The circulating LED lighting indicates the level of pollution in the air, which is measured via the PM2.5 sensor. In automatic mode, the fan level 1-8 regulates itself up and down based on this measurement. The air pollution level is indicated in the range 0-500, which corresponds to the particle load in ug/m3 at a ratio of 1:4.
