Questions about the AiroDoctor hardware and it's capabilities

Yes. The AiroDoctor is a powerful, professional air purifier. At the same time, it is very compact, measuring 400 (W) × 230 (D) × 640 (H) mm and weighing just under 12kg. Practical handles on both sides allow the AiroDoctor to be lifted and moved easily once the power plug is disconnected.

The numbers 0 to 500 indicate the density of the measured particles in the room air. The number has a ratio of 1:4 to the measured particle density.

The AiroDoctor has a sensor on the front panel of the unit. If this is not installed correctly, it cannot be switched on for safety reasons.

Yes. The AiroDoctor recognizes independently when it needs to go into active mode. It also signals when the air has been sufficiently purified.

The AiroDoctor has eight different airflow levels and one automatic mode.

Yes. You can set the timer every hour for up to twelve hours. Thanks to the intelligent automatic mode, the device also runs entirely without manual settings. In this automatic operating mode, the AiroDoctor automatically detects when the particle density in the air is too high and takes action.

No. UV-A waves are only perceptible to the human eye from 400nm (nanometers) only. The UV-A LEDs in the AiroDoctor operate at a wavelength of 385nm. During photocatalysis, the titanium dioxide (TiO2) completely absorbs the UV-A radiation from the LEDs. However, the radiation stimulates fluorescent materials to glow, which the human eye perceives as purple. The purple portion is a fraction of the emitted light, so to speak, the fringe of the wavelength used, but not UV-A radiation.

The AiroDoctor works without ionization. In a previous version of the product, we used ionization as an additional filter stage. However, it turned out that the results did not show any improvement, but additional risks for product safety and health occurred. Therefore, since Q4/2020, the ionization component is no longer part of the AiroDoctor. Since December 1, 2020, all devices are shipped without the symbol for ionization.

No. The KC certification indicates that no measurable UV radiation (UV-A, UV-B, UV-C) is emitted from the device.
